Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk HollywoodlandThe Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland stands out from other models in the recently revamped Hawk collection, with its black ceramic case and rose-gold bezel. The case, which is 44 mm in diameter and water-resistant to 100 meters, features alternating matte and gloss finishes that accentuate its familiar angles and curves.
The dial offers the illusion of depth, with a worked flange and a relief pattern on the dial that echoes the shape of Girard-Perregaux’s famous Golden Bridge. The indices and hands are luminescent (“all the better to see in a dark cinema,” says the press release).

ImageShack.usThe movement, which is visible through a sapphire caseback secured by six screws, is Girard-Perregaux’s manufacture caliber GP03300, which powers the hours, minutes, small seconds (at 3 o’clock), date (in a window at 6 o’clock) and chronograph functions. The self-winding movement has a frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 46 hours.
The black strap, like the case, is also a combination of materials: technological rubber at the base, coated with black alligator leather. It has a folding buckle in titanium PVD with a ceramic cover. The U.S. retail price of the Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland is $21,400.
